The James Alan Cox Foundation's First Intern at KTVK, Phoenix

photoAfter an application and interview process, the James Alan Cox Foundation is proud to announce that Jeremy Knop has been chosen as the Foundation's first intern at KTVK, Channel 3, Phoenix. Jeremy started in late August at the station and will continue working there until mid December. This new internship position, funded by the Foundation, is designed to teach students all aspects of television photojournalism and help further their videography skills. Jeremy, who will work closely with an assigned KTVK mentor, has the opportunity to work in a variety of departments (news, sports, etc.). This annual internship is a paid position, with the student also receiving college credit.

Jeremy, who is attending the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, was born and raised in Montana is an avid outdoorsman. He has also owned and operated a still photography business for 12 years and loves to photograph professional sports and landscapes. He will receive his B.A. in May 2012.

Jeremy writes that he "is fascinated by the challenges the news industry is currently experiencing and loves to work on stories that help people better understand the more complex issues of our time."
