Parents: Read and indicate agreement if the child will be under 18 years of age at the time of the registration.
I release The James Alan Cox Foundation for Student Photojournalists from any liability whatsoever that arises from the use of the Works except for uses that violate the terms and conditions of this Release. I agree to work in good faith with The James Alan Cox Foundation for Student Photojournalists to promptly resolve any problems or disputes that may arise due to my submission of the Works.
By my child registering Works with The James Alan Cox Foundation for Student Photojournalists, I grant the Foundation the royalty-free and non-exclusive right to use my child's Works as follows: (i) on The James Alan Cox Foundation website (www.jamesalancoxfoundation.org) (ii) for The James Alan Cox Foundation newsletters, brochures, press releases, etc.; (iii) in The James Alan Cox Foundation electronic e-mails. I further waive the right to inspect or approve the final use of my child's Work by The James Alan Cox Foundation for the above uses.
The James Alan Cox Foundation for Student Photojournalists reserves the right to crop registered photographs for display purposes, if necessary, and for other needs as required.
I understand that The James Alan Cox Foundation for Student Photojournalists will request additional permission from me before using my child's Work for purposes other than listed above. I understand that my child's Work will not be otherwise distributed to any third party or sponsors without my permission.
Parental Release: Photographs of children (when recognizable in the photograph) must have a written and signed consent by a parent or legal guardian of the child or children "on file" with The James Alan Cox Foundation for Student Photojournalists before the photograph may be displayed.
In the event that ownership of any photograph submitted to The James Alan Cox Foundation for Student Photojournalists is contested in any manner, The James Alan Cox Foundation for Student Photojournalists reserves the right to remove and disqualify the photograph.
I agree that if any portion of this Release if found to be void or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect. Void where prohibited by law.
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Texas.
